My great-grandfather was George Seth ELLIOTT from Weakley County,
TN, who was county attorney for Mississippi County in the 1890's
He was married to Mary A. PATTERSON from Graves County, KY and their
marriage was at the home of Dr. M. R. PATTERSON in Arlington, Carlisle,
KY. George ELLIOTT volunteered for a "midnight posse raid across
the river in KY" on January 14, 1897. There was gunfire and he was
shot dead. This must have been quite the news in Charleston!
I would like to obtain a copy of any newspaper accounts, or any other information
about George and his family. His son Hugh Barr ELLIOTT was
my grandmother's first husband, but she refused to talk about him.

Albertus may have had brothers and sisters. Christina died shortly after Adaline's birth, and Albertus apparently remarried at least twice.
