Directions: Off Highway 105 between East Prairie and Charleston. Turn onto Hwy. 75 to go to Anniston. Turn onto the first dirt road on right off Hwy. 75. Then turn left on first dirt road to left. The left turn will be made in front of big old white farmhouse. You can see the cemetery from Hwy. 75, but if you see it from the highway, then you've missed the dirt road turn off. I was just there last summer (2005) and can't remember the number sign for the first dirt road turn off. Also, the dirt road turn off from Hwy. 75 is well before you get into Anniston proper. Just remember, turn onto 75, first dirt road to right, first dirt road to left. The cemetery is on your left. Well kept. I have grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles buried there. It used to be the White Cemetery (my family name), then was given to Anniston as a public cemetery.

Directions: Dogwood community (many, many years ago referred to as "Sands"), located abt. 5 mi South of Bertrand, spreads out around (and is mostly "off") Highway B, a two laned black-top. There is a "S" curve and the speed-limit goes down as B approaches a store on one side and the Dogwood Methodist Church on the other, in addition to a few houses. (It is a crossroads of sorts with paved roads leading in the other directions. (It should be noted that one may reach the town of East prairie by continuing south on the Highway). The cemetery (called "Dogwood cemetery" even when the community was "Sands") is on church grounds (I believe) on the South side of and adjacent to the Church. Once you enter, the road divides to the east and west and there are roads branching off to the South so that different parts of the cemetery may be reached. The roads are very narrow and driving must be very slow. The grounds are well kept.
It should be noted that, according to Alberta, in the oldest section there
are some unmarked graves, and if there was no marker placed, there is also
no record available. Thus, some people may be buried there which are
unknown.
